Carl G. Hawkins is the proud owner of the Law Offices of Carl G. Hawkins, P.A., and the captain of the Jacksonville Legal Team®. Mr. Hawkins practices business law, with an established background in securities law, intellectual property law, and business law. He has worked extensively in worldwide protection of trademarks and copyrights where he has worked with the United States Patent and Trademark Office (USPTO), the World Intellectual Property Organization (WIPO), and the European Intellectual Property Organization (EUIPO). He has served as corporate counsel for several publicly traded and privately organized companies, where he has compiled a repertoire of documents he has filed with the Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) and the Financial Industry Regulatory Authority (FINRA). As a sports enthusiast and a former semi-professional football player, Mr. Hawkins worked on contemplating standards and policies and conducted reviews for the National Football League Players Association dealing with the concussion protocol settlement and disbursements for retired NFL players.
Born in Athens, Greece, the son of a United States Air Force member, he is a graduate of the University of South Florida (B.A., 2013) and Florida Coastal School of Law (J.D., 2017). Mr. Hawkins obtained his Business Certificate through FCSL in 2016 and received the CALI "Excellence For The Future" Award in Intellectual Property. For several years prior to entering law school, Mr. Hawkins was an instrumental component of the family business, working with clients such as Electronic Arts, Blizzard Entertainment, Konami, Bethesda, CBS, and Showtime.
Michael Hawkins is currently the office paralegal for the Jacksonville Legal Team®. Michael has significant business domestic and international incubation experience. He has participated in early stage operations of public and private companies within the European, African, and Asian markets. He orchestrated and conducted international government, and corporate level meetings with key ministersand representatives within the telecommunications market. His understanding of financial and business modeling has been utilized by more than 200 startup businesses over the course of 20 years. Michael has served on the Board of Directors, Chief Executive Officer, Chief Financial Officer, and Chief Operating Officer of six nano-cap private and public companies. He holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Studies and Business Management from the University of Maryland.
Kayla Collier is the General Office Manager for the Jacksonville Legal Team®. She is a graduate of Polk State College (B.A.S., 2015). Ms. Collier is also a graduate of Harrison Arts Center (2009) in Lakeland, FL, where she fostered her passion for ballet that she developed solely through the public school system. While there, she received several excellence awards from the Dance Department and was a member of the National Honor Society. Ms. Collier has spent time volunteering at Meals on Wheels and Vacation Bible School. She has also worked as a Community Development Troop Leader with the Girl Scouts of Gateway Council.
Ms. Collier is currently pursuing an M.A. in Marriage and Family Therapy to continue her journey toward becoming a certified Life Coach and marriage counselor. Her true passion in life lies in helping others, evidenced by the various volunteering activities that she takes part in.
