Marquis Who's Who has recognized Carl G. Hawkins, president and managing attorney of the Law Offices of Carl G. Hawkins, for his dedication and professional excellence in the field of law. As in all Marquis Who's Who biographical volumes, individuals profiled are selected on the basis of current reference value — with factors such as position, noteworthy accomplishments, visibility, and prominence in a field all taken into account during the selection process.

A Practice Built on Precision and Client Advocacy

Mr. Hawkins has served as the president and managing attorney of the Law Offices of Carl G. Hawkins since the firm's founding in 2017. Through his practice, he offers consultations and representation across a range of disciplines, including international and corporate transactional law, securities law, intellectual property law, labor and employment law, lien law, and small business law.

He has assisted with taking multiple companies public and maintains a portfolio of SEC and FINRA filings. His work with brokers ensures clients remain compliant with their filings and regulatory notices — a practice area that has since grown to encompass registered offerings on Form S-1 and S-3, as well as exempt offerings under Regulation D, Regulation A+, and Regulation Crowdfunding.

A Foundation in Both Business and Law

Prior to law school, Mr. Hawkins founded Carl's Logistic Services and worked as a manager of Epic Weapons, where through his family business he worked with prominent clients including Electronic Arts, Bethesda Softworks LLC, and Blizzard Entertainment. While building his business background, he interned for Arcadier and Associates, assisting the firm with client review and research. During law school, he also served the Public Defender's Office of the Fourth Judicial Circuit.

A formative mentorship came through an internship with Michael Huyghue & Associates. Mr. Huyghue — the former Senior VP of Football Operations for the Jacksonville Jaguars and Commissioner of the United Football League — took Mr. Hawkins under his wing during his years in law school, an experience that would later inform the firm's sports and entertainment law practice.

Education and Honors

Mr. Hawkins earned a Bachelor of Arts in Criminology from the University of South Florida in 2013 and a Doctor of Jurisprudence from Florida Coastal School of Law in 2017. At Florida Coastal, he earned a Business Law Certificate and was honored with the Center for Computer-Assisted Legal Instruction (CALI) Book Award for Intellectual Property, as well as the CALI Excellence for the Future Award in Intellectual Property. He was also a Southeast Region Orator Finalist in the National Oratorical Contest.

His intellectual property work has extended internationally — he has filed and registered numerous successful trademarks with the USPTO, EUIPO, and WIPO, instituting intellectual property rights for companies across multiple countries.
